The VISIPLAS AX140 Pallet Deflector is designed to mitigate the effect of impacts against rear and front pallet racking uprights.  The high visibility Pallet Deflector can reduce rack maintenance costs by up to 90% for the rear pallet rack upright.  The competitively priced AX140 rack accessory is suitable for pallet rack uprights from 100mm to 120mm front width, or can be used in conjunction with VISIPLAS Pallet Rack Protectors on smaller width uprights. 

Fast and easy to install, the Pallet Rack Deflectors are made of an injection molded, high-impact plastic compound with energy absorbing and self-reforming properties.  They can be used with pallet racking from all major manufacturers, including systems with roll-formed, structural or tubular construction.  Their safety yellow colour ensures high visibility, enhancing the forklift driver’s ability to identify the upright’s location. 

The Pallet Rack Deflectors were created to protect the rear uprights from damage caused by forklift operators not entering the rack squarely with a load.  Without the Deflector the pallet can strike the upright as it is pushed into the rack, damaging it. 

The AX140 can also be used with the aisle-facing front uprights which already have the 500mm high, impact absorbing VISIPLAS Pallet Racking Upright Protector in place.  The AX140 has a 140mm internal diameter to work in conjunction with the AVB and AVC protector by encircling it and the front upright.

The Deflectors are delivered in two parts that are placed around the front and back of a rack upright to encircle it.  Interlocking tab-and-slot construction ensures the two pieces meet precisely; they are then secured together with the insertion of a pin through guide holes within the alignment tabs.  Once in place, the deflectors help absorb the impact of a pallet and simultaneously redirect its angle of entry to the proper placement position on the floor. 

The AX140 for rear uprights has a 140mm internal diameter, allowing ample room to be placed over most anchoring footplates of various manufacturer’s uprights.

The AX140 measures 120mm tall and is supplied in cartons of 16 Deflectors.  3 assembly pins are provided with each deflector – 2 are required for installation plus 1 spare.
